Summer Kids Classes

Pasadena Language Center offers Summer Language Classes for children (4-12 years old) and teens (13-16 years old) for French, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish. The program is 4 weeks long, classes meeting every day, Monday through Thursday. Groups are formed by age range and level of knowledge: 4-7 years old (2 hours per day), 8-12 years old (2 hours per day), and 13-16 years old (two days per week, 3 hours per day).

Our method
We believe that the best way for a child to learn a second language is through imitation and repetition. The purpose of the program is to introduce the new language as if it were the native language. Therefore, classes are fully conducted in the target language. Learning a new language should be a fun experience. That is why we created a curriculum that engages children through different activities. The focus is on conversation, and for Chinese we introduce some character writing.
All our instructors are native speakers and have a large experience in teaching children. They will guide and support the children in the learning process, making sure that they have the best experience.
